Canadian Professional Insurance Broker

Graduate to a higher level in your broker profession with CPIB.

The Canadian Professional Insurance Broker (CPIB) program is a senior designation program designed and written specifically for insurance brokers by insurance brokers. Positioned at the university study level, this program is designed to challenge the professional excellence of property and casualty insurance brokers. The program maintains three streams: personal lines, commercial lines and broker management that will provide brokers with the flexibility to choose an area of study best suited for them.

Prerequisites
Students who wish to enroll in the CPIB program must have earned either the CAIB or AIIC/CIP designation. Graduates of the CCIB program will have this prerequisite waived.

Study Options
There are two possible methods for students to choose from: self-study and immersion classes.

The self-study option provides the student with the textbook, self-study guide, exam preparation and registration and one exam sitting. Self-study course cost is $515.05(members incl. HST) $772.58(non-members incl. HST). CPIB courses are subject to HST as they are not licensing courses.

The mandatory courses for each stream will be offered through immersion classes if there is sufficient interest. The Immersion program includes the textbook, instructor’s fee, meals, accommodations, exam registration form and one exam sitting.
