You will learn the basic principals and practices of general lines insurance and the responsibilities of those persons involved in the business. Participants learn to assist clients by identifying the risks involved, determining their insurance needs, selecting the appropriate forms and arranging coverage. The text is available in both English and French.

Customer Service for the Insurance Professional (CSIP) is an excellent resource for any new entrant to the insurance brokerage field or for seasoned employees looking for a refresher course. Designed to be helpful to all staff in the brokerage, it targets a wide range of knowledge and skills needed by CSRs (Customer Service Representatives) that includes, providing excellent and dependable customer relations to deal with the most challenging situations faced in a brokerage.

The Canadian Professional Insurance Broker (CPIB) program is a senior designation program designed and written specifically for insurance brokers by insurance brokers. Positioned at the university study level, this program is designed to challenge the professional excellence of property and casualty insurance brokers. The program maintains three streams: personal lines, commercial lines and broker management that will provide brokers with the flexibility to choose an area of study best suited for them. Prerequisites are CAIB or CIP designations and are waived for CCIB graduates.

The Canadian Certified Insurance Broker (CCIB) is considered the pinnacle of insurance designations. It is recognized in the insurance profession as the ultimate standard of excellence. As an insurance broker, your job demands integrity, hard work and an enormous amount of knowledge. This program is designed to test the knowledge that you have accumulated while employed in the industry. There are three exams to complete. One 3.5 hour essay style exam, one 2 hour short answer exam and finally a survey examination which may be oral or written.
